Jr. Civitan

Jr. Civitan will elect officers at their next meeting on Tuesday, September 26th after school in Mrs. Ball's classroom.  The meeting will be over by 3:45.  It's not too late to join!


Student council

Student Council will meet Tuesday, September 26 until 4 pm in room 310.


Student council is sponsoring a box top competition, which includes box tops, Tyson A+, and Aunt Millie's bread.  For the bread, students only need to bring in the bar code.

-The competition is between 6th, 7th, 8th and the staff.

-The winning group will have popcorn during a class period after fall break.

-Competition begins September 11th and ends October 11th.

***8th graders may place labels in the box in Mrs. A. Smith's room

***7th graders may place labels in the box in Mrs. Pedro's room

***6th graders may place labels in the box in  Mrs. Lannan's room

***Staff may place labels in the teacher's workroom.

    ~Progress of the competition will be recorded on the bulletin board~

Linton Public Library

Thursdays are for Teens at the Linton Public Library. Starting in September there will be something for teens to do each Thursday4-5 p.m. at the Linton Public Library. Things like Board Games & pizza, gaming on the big screen, coffee & coloring, and Just Dance. Submitted by Ginger Anderson, Children's/Teen Library Services

Thursday, September 28, The Linton Public Library will have Teen Coffee and Coloring from 4-5 p.m.

The Linton Public Library will be hosting Creative Crafternoon the first Saturday of the month from 1-2 p.m.


Lifetouch Picture Re-take Day

Lifetouch picture re-take day is Thursday, October 19th.  IF you missed picture day in August you will need to get your picture taken.  No purchase is required.  If you want re-takes please bring your picture package with you on that day.

“Cause for Applause”

The "Cause for Applause" Award program recognizes Linton-Stockton School Corporation employees that have gone above and beyond their daily expectations. This is a monthly honor and anyone can nominate an employee for this award. 

Please go online to our school’s website (www.lssc.k12.in.us), and on our corporation’s homepage, you will find the Cause for Applause logo.  Click on the logo and you will be directed to the nomination form.


Reminder for the 2017-2018 School Year

1. Doors: Doors to enter the school will NOT be unlocked until 7:25 am. Do not arrive before then, you will not be permitted inside the building until this time. Remember that students must remain in the auditeria or the middle school gym prior to the 7:45 am bell. 1st hour begins at 7:55 am.


Students are not allowed to have cell phones in their possession during school hours (7:55 AM – 3:05 PM) If a student brings a cell phone to school it must be kept in their locker, turned off.




Reminder to all students please check your emails for important messages throughout the day.
